Today is the day to turn our minds and hearts toward the spiritual tradition of knowledge that we respect. Millions of people around the world perform puja or show other forms of gratitude towards their spiritual masters, gurus, who are their spiritual or religious teachers. This is a very heartfelt day and it allows many to reflect on their devotion and progress and give their gratitude and blessing to that tradition to which they belong to.
In our transcendental meditation tradition, we celebrate Swami Brahmananda Saraswati as our Guru Dev and many of us perform a puja of gratitude on this day. Guru Dev belonged to that tremendous Shankara tradition which realized the Advaita Vedanta mode of understanding non-duality and Brahman. Adi Shankara the founder of this tradition of knowledge traveled all over India and gave discourses and set up four seats of learning each with its own Shankaracharya, with the northern seat at Jyotir Math being the leading seat. When we teach transcendental meditation we introduce Guru Dev’s color painting to the student as Maharishi’s master, whom he obtained the knowledge of transcending from. We always refer to Guru Dev as the source of transcendental meditation, as Maharishi made it clear he did not invent TM, and he asked us to refer back to his spiritual master Guru Dev. Even the term “transcendental meditation” comes from a line of masters who called it that in Hindi.

Today we introduce a new website that can be found at Shankara.guru – this separate site will include many videos, about Guru Dev, Adi Shankara, and related topics.
Today the talking AI saints are introduced:
THE INCREDIBLE TALKING ADI SHANKARA
THE INCREDIBLE TALKING GURU DEV
These have AI-generated voices and are based on known texts from these great saints.
There was an attempt to tune the AI voices to these saints, but there are limits to the AI software.
So you can just think of it as an AI-generated voice that reads their sayings, and which does not necessarily represents the real person’s voice.
In the future Shankara.guru will include more videos, and perhaps texts related to the Holy Tradition of Masters.
Here is the link to the site.
